Should Trump be excused from his state trial…

… so that he can attend his son's high school graduation and the U.S. Supreme Court argument in his case?

Despite your views of Trump, isn't this a no-brainer? Why is the judge giving him a hard time on these things?

Meantime, Trump apparently fell asleep during trial. But we don't have cameras to see it. Just ridiculous.

We've all seen judges and jurors nod off during trials. The Supreme Court has said that it's not ineffective for a lawyer to fall asleep during trial... what about a defendant?

In other news, it looks like the Supreme Court is going to reverse another conviction because of prosecutorial overreach.  I enjoyed this exchange with Lisa Blatt:

But Justice Sonia Sotomayor pointed out that the statute applies to rewards only "in connection with any business, transaction, or series of transactions of such organization, government, or agency involving anything of value of $5,000 or more," she said.

"I'm sorry, doesn't the nexus requirement get rid of most of this?" she asked.

"The doctor who removes your wart, fine. But the doctor who takes your gallbladder out or does your face, like my plastic surgeon, no, that's worth over $5,000," Blatt answered, drawing laughter in the courtroom.

Trump is a lying sack of shit. He blew off the graduations of all his other kids, and this graduation is on a day when court is not in session. The Judge didn't say "no" either, he just said "wait and see."

“Why is the judge giving him a hard time on these things?”

So 30 plus people should have to accommodate Trump before they return to their normal lives.

Also, Trump has attacked the judge and his daughter relentlessly. It is funny that he asked for this. And funnier that you are asking the question. You want respect and niceness, give the same.

As the Dersh says, it all about GET TRUMP!. Once you accept the premise that Trump is the euivalent of Bucky Dent at Fanuel Hall, anything and everything is acceptable to destroy him.

Or maybe…he is a corrupt slime ball that has made a career of screwing people over and disregarding the law…and…people think it is bullshit that he proudly broadcasts his fraudulent and criminal behavior under the guise of being a macho great business man…, then when he is held to account screams “fake news” “witch hunt”, etc.

Of course I could be wrong and maybe he is just a martyr bearing his cross.

Or you could be another liberal white man driving a Tesla standing on your soapbox from your gated community, with security, screaming how much of a crook/loser/thief/corrupt man Trump is. Wasn't this a matter declined by the FEC and DOJ already? Anything to stop the "Bad Orange Man." Another white liberal man thinks it is relevant that he skipped his other children's graduations (as if he really knows). Next time YOUR client wants a special privilege like attending his son's graduation or that last vacay on bond remember this moment.

Don’t forget my Starbucks and flip flops on Saturdays while I read The NY Times and lament that Miami does not have enough Whole Foods supermarkets!

Did my client call the judge crooked and attack his daughter in national media? If yes, I would not make the request. I would tell him that if he is going out of bounds like that he needs to live with the consequences and man up.

When you foolishly poke the bear, and the bear wakes up and gives you payback the orange rapist treasonous fool should not complain.

9:10, I would also tell him that pissing off a judge who has a large amount of discretion in sentencing at the end is a bad idea. Including that the Defendant's freely expressed bad attitude can be a reason to avoid leniency.

Who falls for his drivel? He should be held in contempt, and sanctioned like any other disobedient participant. He's a real piece!
