Regardless of political affiliation, its historic not just for being a black female. Its degrading to the high court that there are no former public defenders on the court. The court needs balance for that reason alone not so much for race and gender. But that helps of course. By resume, she is the most qualified justice in a VERY long time. She just happens to be a black female. How about that!
