Rick Diaz nominated for lawyer of the year

The Wall Street Journal blog has posted its nominations for lawyer of the year. Sure, there's Alberto Gonzalez, Clarence Thomas, David Boies, Jon Keker, and Billy Martin. But you can also vote for our very own Rick Diaz! Check it out.

So that's why the WSJ was calling me. I thought they wanted to sell me a subscription. I guess I should have returned their call. Oh well, destined to labour in obscurity.

I practice criminal defense, but not in or of FL, so no parochial or personal connection. From reading WSJ profiles, Rick Diaz is far and away the most deserving nominee for their Lawyer of the Year award. I voted for him and encourage you to do the same.

4:59, redundant to say you dont practice here, we have a penchant for nastiness amongst our own, no one here in south florida would ever say anything so nice, it's beyond them. You are correct though.

Wow. Penchant and redundant in the same sentence. You must have gone to Harvard -- Jackass!

I would still vote for anybody from south Florida over some idiot yankee.
