If you're a college football fan, you know about the recent travesty of FSU being snubbed by the College Football Selection Committee. Did we really need to see Alabama in another college football playoff? Although there's no fixing it now, there may be a lawsuit coming. Governor DeSantis set aside $1 million in the state's upcoming budget for a lawsuit against the College Football Committee. And Senator Scott has already issued a letter to Boo Corrigan, the Chairman of the Committee, demanding emails, text messages, and the like regarding the selection process. Even a judge in our own district, Judge Singhal, made a lighthearted reference to the snub in a recent order.
Hopefully, the Seminoles can beat Georgia and the AP can name FSU national champ.

The lawsuit, if it is brought, will be dismissed. it is political theaterright up there with the lawyer in New Orleans who sued the NFL after the Saints lost a game over a bad ref call. All very amusing and scores points with the locals, but we know the outcome. But there is a very sinister motive at play here. Placating the SEC by including Alabama makes a lot of sense. Texas and Oklahoma jumped ship to the SEC. Washington, Oregon, UCLA and USC obliterated the PAC 12 by joining the Big Ten. Next on the agenda: The SEC and Big Ten tell the NCAA they are no longer needed and bolt to form their own leagues. The TV revenue would be astronomical. Maybe each team could play a non-league game to satisfy the purists (Florida/Florida State say, or ND/USC). The committee had to have this in their heads.

All about politics. College football corrupt? Of course it is. A lawsuit is not going to change that. What do they want? The court to appoint a receiver and judges and the receiver decides who gets in the playoffs?
The people that rant over frivolous lawsuits are the key architects of this. Now they want government involved in sports.

Non issue next year with 12 teams, except for the iowas of the world who think they should be in with 2 losses. And, the notre dames, who despite losing 15 games in a 12 game season will still be ranked in the top 15.
Re 12:04. Knock off the sarcasm. And learn some basic math. ND only needs to go 1-11 to make a bowl game and be in the top 20, not 15. Otherwise, your point is valid.

No longer matters. Since it’s not a championship game many players are entering the NFL Draft and won’t play in the bowl games. This is true of most of the top teams except the “final four.” Corrigan’s committee thought Louisville would bail them out, otherwise there was no reason to put FSU #4 only to drop them down after winning their conference over a top 15 team. The commentators who say FSU had only 55 yards passing seem to forget that when Michigan had the same passing yardage against Penn State and three zero passes in the second half, they called it a good coaching plan. Bottom line: Boo Corrigan’s brother Tim runs ESPN and ESPN has a multimillion dollar contract with the SEC. The College Football Playoff Committee would have been happy had FSU cooperated by losing. But they didn’t. They are the true definition of a team—a group working together to overcome adversity and reach their goal. Whether you like them or not, that’s undisputed.
Wait. He wants to spend up to a million dollars on a hopeless lawsuit? WTF?!! So much for fiscal responsibility from Governor Desaster.
