James Comey pleads not guilty

He’s represented by Patrick Fitzgerald, the former U.S. Attorney in Chicago.  I am not sure if he’s ever represented a criminal defendant who went to trial.  At the arraignment, he said it was the honor of a lifetime to be representing Comey.

If you were representing Comey, what would your strategy be?

Speedy demand?

Vindictive prosecution motion? (If so, speedy trial is tolled).

Talk to the media? (Comey has already given a video statement).

What would you do?

Pin ears, serv subpoenas, file motions, trial. Also, find out if he lied, and if he did what the explanation would be.

I would hire you!

Speedy trial, baby. I wouldn't waste my time with a vindictive-prosecution motion (standard seems tough and, if granted, couldn't DOJ appeal that?).

Say you want to flip and cooperate and have terribly damaging information on Joe and Hunter Biden harvesting babies and drinking their blood. Since everyone in a position of power at DOJ already believes that to be the minimum of what Biden did wrong, they will be eager for the meeting. At the cooperation meeting, get up on the table, flip double birds to all prosecutors present, and then answer every question with "I don't recall that, but I do recall that Donald Trump f-ed teenage girls on Jeffrey Epstein's island".
