Happy 13th Birthday to the Southern District of Florida Blog

This blog's first post was July 2, 2005, and we've been going strong ever since -- thanks to you!  Thank you for stopping by and reading.  When the blog first started, there were only a handful of legal blogs (How Appealing, SCOTUSblog, and Underneath the Robes were the main ones).  Since then, many have come and gone.  This blog has had 3,778,606 page views since then.  Pretty cool.

Still, many blogs have moved over to Twitter, and I am thinking about doing the same thing.  I'm interested in your comments.  Would you rather have the blog as a set place to come see posts, or is Twitter more convenient.

Thanks again for reading.

I prefer the blog. Twitter seems like you would eventually end up with chopped-up phrases, rather than your actual (possible lengthy) thoughts on a topic. You could always do both, with twitter providing a truncated thought?

Blog.

I've been lucky enough to avoid the twitter virus, and at this point don't expect that I'll catch it to read your posts (although I'd miss the blog for sure).

Congratulations on a good run. Keep it going.

I really enjoy the blog, but I think twitter is better suited technologically. My guess is you will lose some audience who will refuse to switch out of principle or fear of new technology, but part of what is needed in the federal defense bar in the SoDF is new blood and having your influential voice move to twitter could be a part of that.

What is Twitter?

Blog. Do you know how many really legal-stupid folks you'd deal with in twits?

Blog. easier to read, doesn't get lost in the clutter, and no word limit.

Good blog. I would consider getting rid of comments, or just anonymous comments if you can. I like the posts, but anonymous comments are almost always name calling, and add little value.

Comments are half the fun.

Blog.
Especially for anything in depth - most of what you do.
You could tweet also, but more for quick commentary - nothing substantial.
If you do both, you tweet when you have put up a new blog post and direct more people to the blog.
