Florida state appeals court judge who was nominated by U.S. President
Donald Trump to serve as a federal judge after ruling in the president's
favor in a defamation lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize Board was
confirmed to the federal bench by the U.S. Senate on Wednesday.
The
Republican-led Senate voted 51-46 in favor of Jeffrey Kuntz becoming a
federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of
Florida, marking the second time the chamber approved the appointment of
a judge who had sided with Trump in the Pulitzer case.

He’ll be an excellent judge as he has been on the 4th. This Reuters article does a disservice to his record but it’s too difficult for people to actually read the two page opinion he wrote that’s based on personal jurisdiction and nothing much else. He was regarded as an excellent colleague and Chief Judge on the 4th.
