"People the world over have always been more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power."

What an awesome line by Bill Clinton at the DNC tonight.

"One young female juror, who identified herself only as J.Q., said it wasn't that Estefano's story was unbelievable, but ``the state did not do a good enough job.''"

    OUCH!

Seems to me like the State was trying to set the defendant up with the apartment complex witness re entry after the shooting. Does anybody know if this witness was disclosed? Or, were they playing the hold a definite impeachment witness back game, knowing they were going to use him?

"Neil Taylor, a defense attorney hired to serve as a liaison with prosecutors, said he felt like someone punched him in the gut.

''What a disgrace,'' Taylor said. ``It's so contrary to the evidence that it makes me wonder if somebody got to one or more of the jurors. It makes no sense whatsoever.''"

Wow. Alleging bribery of a juror. How low can Taylor go? More than likely, Von Zamft's obnoxiousness turned off the jury, as it turns off most everyone else.

Am I in the dark? Please explain to me the concept of a defense attorney hired to serve as a liaison with prosecutors. Who hired him? What did he do?
