Congratulations to Judge Enjoliqué Lett on her investiture last Friday. Attendees say it was a heartfelt event, with several speakers remembering Judge Marcia G. Cooke, for whom Judge Lett clerked.
In addition to family and colleagues, Judge Seitz, Judge Williams, and Stephanie Casey spoke, with Judge Gayles administering the oath of office.
who will be the new AUSA the court puts in the bench
ReplyDeleteHopefully me! It is a pretty good fit. But there are a couple former AFPDs too, don't fret.
DeleteLett wasn't an AUSA that was DeAngelo. Lett is a former federal clerk and big law partner. Super qualified to be a Mag.
ReplyDeleteNot saying she isn't. All I am saying is that now that the court's last pick is a non AUSA, we are up again.
ReplyDeleteLast pick was DeAngelo who was an AUSA, as were most of the other recent picks. Magistrate Judges do 80 percent civil work, so hopefully will be someone with someone with civil experience. Lett was a great pick.
