It's hard to keep up with all of the Trump goings-on.
Cannon rules for Trump.
Cannon gets reversed by CA11.
Cannon appoints Special Master per Trump's request.
Special Master rules against Trump.
Cannon overrules Special Master.
Read the latest order here, where Judge Cannon says that the Special Master was wrong to force Trump to verify certain items and also tells the Special Master that he's moving too fast.
Cannon has laid bare her complete lack of integrity and impartiality.
ReplyDeleteThe Special Master should resign. He was appointed by Cannon to be impartial. As soon as he started to be impartial, Cannon overruled him.
ReplyDeleteThe corruption of our courts is like Venezuela, Cuba, or Russia.
The job of a USDCJ is not to be pro-DOJ or defense counsel. Yet Cannon plays Trump defense counsel full time.
The job of a USDCJ is not to be pro-DOJ? Pass the memo around.
ReplyDelete"The Special Master should resign.... As soon as he started to be impartial, Cannon overruled him." Mmkay, 8:22. Judge Cannon may have been mistaken in rejecting part of the special master's plan. But being mistaken doesn't mean she's "corrupt." If you're willing to be a special master appointed by a district judge, be prepared to be smacked around a bit. It's part of the job. I doubt that Judge Dearie -- a very experienced district judge -- will resign like a petulant little child as you suggest he should.
ReplyDeleteWell, the eleventh was interested in trumps claims to have declassified and noted there is not evidence of it. It also appears to be interested in his public claims things were planted (how can you asset privilege or ask for something back that was not yours to begin with?). Now, the DJ has entered an order that prevents the special master from sorting through those questions. It is curious to say the least.
ReplyDeleteMight the Queen be a little off?
DeleteThe problem with this whole witch hunt is that the executive power to declassify anything and be immune from mishandling it is just that.
ReplyDeleteTheres no one to tell you decided to declassify and keep a sensitive document for personal reference when youre POTUS.
Also, courts have found that FPOTUS gets to keep ‘his records’ however he chooses. The Clinton tapes in sock drawer decision is unfortunate, but is the current precedent.
All she has to do is hang the TRUMP flag behind her bench and we are all good.
ReplyDeleteWell, he did appoint her. Which is more important…loyalty or appearances?Seems like a tough choice to me when you are talking about the guy who gave her life tenure….no matter what a bunch of haters have to say. When he wins again in 2024, he may put her on scotus!
ReplyDeleteGood Lord, she has no real life experience, acts like a spoiled brat and mistreat the help!! She'll continue goose stepping her way up until that fake ladder breaks. Next time Rubio should find a more mature experienced person to give the carpet bag to!
Delete"If you're willing to be a special master appointed by a district judge, be prepared to be smacked around a bit. It's part of the job."
ReplyDeleteThis sentiment is what's wrong with our legal system. What gives a district court judge, or any judge, the prerogative to "smack" anyone around. Why, as lawyers, do we allow ourselves to be smacked around and treated like dirt for doing our jobs. Judge Dearie is 78 years old. He should expect to be smacked around for essentially being enlisted to be Judge Cannon's law clerk and trying to guide this debacle? I want no part of this profession is this is the norm.
Further, if Judge Dearie's view of the matter is so at odds with Judge Cannon's to render his work a waste of his time and effort, resignation should be an option and wouldn't be an act of a small, petulant child.
Sounds like AMC is a petulant child. Independent unless you go against the ring she has clearly kissed. And I wonder if shes relatiom to former Trump Org. Atty Alex Cannon??
