St. Peter-Griffith, Ann Marie
Zaron, Erica Sunny Shultz
Congrats to all. The judges will hold their interviews on May 11 and select two.
Who will be the two lucky Bottom feeders?
ReplyDeleteSomeone is salty that they didn't get an interview...
ReplyDeleteYou, 8:21 AM? Solid group of applicants. Some of these are more qualified than others, to be sure. But I don't get all the haters on this blog. Being a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of Florida is not easy, yet the district has attracted good applicants (and some of those good applicants have turned out to be good judges). This group is no exception.
ReplyDeleteCurrent or former prosecutor seems to be the path.
ReplyDeleteWell…. we know most state/ federal prosecutors aren’t afraid to try cases, criminal or civil. Hopefully they pick applicants that check the most boxes and have proven pedigrees!
ReplyDeleteUS Mag. is a dead end job. No Mag has ever gone on to be District Judge and private law firms do not hire them if they leave.
ReplyDeleteNote to the Trialmaster - Judge Robin Rosenbaum was first a Mag, then a district court Judge and now on the 11th circuit.
ReplyDeleteNote to the Trialmaster - after two 8 year terms as a US magistrate judge they can retire with full salary pension. Not bad for a dead end!
