The SDFLA clerk’s office is getting lots of experience planning big parties. The latest was for Judge Rodney Smith, who had his investiture on Friday. Still to come — Raag Singhal and the Fort Pierce seat. Then we’ll have the 11th Circuit slots for Lagoa and Luck. Good times.
There should be no future confirmations until the impeachment inquiry is resolved. Just ask your self if the situation was reversed: What would Mitch do?
ReplyDeleteThere should continue to be judicial confirmations for so long as we want a functioning republic and a robust legal sustem. Just ask yourself, what would Mitch do, and then do the exact opposite (lest you become no better than Mitch yourself).
ReplyDeleteMoscow Mitch set the precedent when he deprived President Obama of his choice for SCOTUS without even having a vote on the choice. Just like the republicans set the precedent, and substantially lowered the standard for impeachment, when they impeached Clinton.
ReplyDeletehere we go again
ReplyDeleteRemember when Rubio blue slipped two great state court judges. We need street fighters.

ReplyDeleteBe the change you want to see, brother. You've got it wrong. Plain and simple.
The change I want to see is no confirmations until after the impeachment trial. I guess i'll talk to Mitch. Maybe not today. He's probably a little stung by the election yesterday seeing he's more unpopular than the incumbent governor who lost his job.
