The trialmaster is not applying....
ReplyDeleteThe PDs are on the list because of the federal application of "The Rooney Rule". The NFL Rooney Rule requires all teams to consider African-American candidates for coaching vacancies. The Fed rule requires the judges to "Consider" federal pds for a Mag spot. How many times does Tim Day, one of the best trial lawyers in the district and state have to apply? He'd be great, if he wasn't a PD that is.
ReplyDeleteThis requires some ink to be spilled, doesn't it?

Rumpole - I guess you don't practice in Mag Court in the Southern District very much. Two ex federal defenders are current Mag Court Judges - Brannon in WPB and Hunt in Broward. ScottAfrica
ReplyDeleteOh yeah... you have a real winner there in Brannon. And 2 mags huh? Golly gee, since I do not practice in federal court, how many mags are there, ummm like 4 or 5?
ReplyDeleteAs the saying goes "That dog won't hunt" (Pun intended)

Only if you believe the U.S. has a legitimate justice system, which is does not. Magistrate lawyer? Not an Article III judge; "Do Not Publish" as much as the clowns in the 11th Circuit try and cover up the injustice, the folks in Pakistan will hear about Mr. Mehmood; Pro se cases and 28 U.S.C. § 1915(e)(2)(B)(ii), fucking joke.
Trump supporters: But why do they hate U.S. so much? The U.S. don't do nuttin to these people. Bomb, bomb, bomb (fill in name of "shit hole" country).
Stand your ground Rump
ReplyDeleteWill AG Barr launch an investigation as to how an inmate at FDC committed suicide? Or only for rich whites who potentially can incriminate Trump?
ReplyDeleteWord on the street is that next Bench and Bar will be at Doral. They have these amazing "bungalows" where all the judges can stay. And big, beautiful ballrooms (the best in Florida!) where judges can yell at us for not being civil to one another. Plus a fantastic parking lot (almost as big as Greenland!).
