Interesting Group; sitting circuit judges, sitting Mag, former AFPDs, some in academia and other in private practice with a big law firm and former judge...hmmm.

No more sitting state court judges stand a chance.

    Except Migna! Migna loves Miami!

  4. Colbath needs to worry about not botching state law cases first.

This seat goes unfilled until President Paul takes office.

6:45 is probably kidding, but if not hopelessly forgetting that the filibuster is over. District judge process now a reliable six-month process from formal nomination. Which means it will be filled early 2015. President Paul (hargh) or anyone else will get new nominations to fill since there are a lot more senior judges to come. p.s. hopefully no more state judges. A higher level of intellect should be required every now and then.

    Why no more state judges?

6:45 here. Not kidding (at least about the likelihood of the seat being filled; most likely will be filled by Pres. Clinton).

11:01 is hopelessly forgetting that while the filibuster is over for now, the blue slip tradition is in full force and effect is not. If you think Sen. Rubio is not going to flex his blue slip muscles with regard to this nomination, you're a dreamer.

3:41: Why do you think that Rubio will not return a blue slip for the next nominee? He has supported all of Obama's nominees except for one -- and he took a lot of **** for that one time. I think that that was the exception, not Rubio's rule.

the trialmaster's picks: great picks would include, Mary Barzee,Peter Lopez,Barry Seltzer, and John Thornton. Terrible choices include Butchko,Reyonds,Garcia-Wood. But its whoever is most poltically connected that will prevail.
