Happy Festivus!

Even Florida has a Festivus pole:

A Nativity scene, a Festivus pole and a chair holding fake pasta with eyeballs and an accompanying “provHerb” from the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster have been allowed to be shown as displays at the Florida Capitol.
However, the officials making the decisions are drawing the line with Satan.
The Department of Management Services emailed The Satanic Temple on Wednesday, telling the group its proposed display of an angel falling from heaven into an open fire was “grossly offensive.”
Here's a picture of Chaz Stevens and his Festivus pole in the Florida Capitol:

Here's a picture of the rejected satanic display:

And the spaghetti display, which was allowed (the sign says “A closed mouth catches no noodly appendages. – ProvHerbs 3:27.”):

This has begun and is a consequence of Christians insisting on displaying their nativity scenes and 10 Commandments in public areas. They claim religious freedom but apparently only for their own religion. There is a tax exempt church on every corner in every city in the US and, as far as I know, no one has entered these houses of worship to disrupt their services. Go to your church or home and worship all you want but please understand that not everybody shares your beliefs.

If the US Supreme court sides with the town council in Greece v. Galloway (as conservative religious groups and the Obama Administration want), we will not only have to witness these displays of religious lunacy, but also suffer through their "prayers" at public meetings. Sheesh!

I think the Satanic display should be allowed. If we're going to allow all that other crap, then it should be there also.

I think calling PBR 'beer' is grossly offensive.
And I have wheat allergies so the spaghetti creature is grossly offensive.

This is the reason why we should have a flat-out ban on all things 'religious' being displayed on any government property.
