With luck, the judge will order the DOJ to research the dogs' origins and make a determination. In the end, the puppies will have to be put down due to a clear and definite statement from the DOJ that they will never work to help any "potentially dirty son of a bitch."
Sometimes I lie awake at night worrying that at some point in the afterlife I will be called to account for my sins. I take comfort in knowing that if there is a heaven and a hell, there's no way that I will end up in the same places as someone who would cut puppies open to smuggle heroin.
