Jill Pryor a step closer to the 11th Circuit (Updated)
Senator Reid has called for a cloture vote on Jill Pryor's nomination. It will be up for a vote on Friday morning, which means barring some craziness, she should be our newest 11th Circuit judge by early next week.
She will fill Judge Birch's seat which has been vacant for 1436 days!

DOM: I think the Senate recesses this week, meaning she wouldn't be confirmed until it comes back in session in September.
Seems like Birch only has been gone for 759 days.

Birch retired on August 29, 2010. That's 1432 days.
Obama needs to find another person named Tjoflat to nominate. It is not an easy task. But it's definitely doable.
Seems like a weird time to move for cloture if you cannot follow up with an immediate vote.
